The following report, sponsored by Liquibase (previously Datical), is based on an online survey of 307 qualified participants responsible for application development, application release, enterprise architecture, or DevOps for mission-critical applications that are connected to enterprise databases. These professionals were asked about their application and database release processes, with a detailed examination on the role of databases. Certain questions were repeated from a similar 2018 survey to enable trend analysis.
